First of all, Monday night we went to Ground Control to see off Jonaya and Ryan. As usual, it was a very relaxed atmosphere and some of the karaoke singers were spectacular, including Jonaya. I wish the two of them very well in their new environs.
On Thursday night during my drive home from the pitch meeting, I saw a green fireball even through the LA city lights. It lasted pretty long, too. I gather that many of the Pleiades meteors are green, so this was probably one of the late ones from that shower. Very cool.
Last night, we drove into Norco for a rodeo. Usually they're pretty good there, but this one...well, the sound system was unintelligible, the women's trick riders ran into each other, the crew who're supposed to usher out the bulls had no idea what to do. It was mostly a comedy of errors. However, the muttonbusting was terrific; a bunch five and six year old kids in full protective gear riding sheep. They had a ball with it!
Today, I believe I shall have to get a haircut. When my top fur is regularly poking me in the eyes, I think it's long enough.
