Even though I only worked four days this week (yes, that included Friday), I got a lot done, much of it with my wife. Most of it related to the Thanksgiving holiday as we once again hosted the Orphans' Thanksgiving at our place. Lots of cleanup, lots of cooking. I got my spiced pecans done well in advance, but the day of I made curried fruit, this time in the crockpot to limit the need for oven use, and I thought that the fruit tasted a bit better than previously. The entire holiday was fun, but now we have to look ahead to the cookie exchange.

We did get out to see a movie this week, too. This time it was Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which I thought was pretty fun. It had just enough connection to the original material so that it felt connected, though it occurs decades prior to the events in the Harry Potter books. There are similarities but overall it was enough different to make it fun.

We spent some time with my family yesterday, lots more to do there yet. And so it goes.
