Last night after a dog walk and not forgetting the candlelighting, I put on a couple of Netflix discs. In specific, we watched the new incarnation of The Magnificent Seven. It's a heck of a formula. I've seen Seven Samurai which I think did it best, the original Magnificent Seven, The Return of the Magnificent Seven, and Battle Beyond the Stars all of which used the same formula, and in many cases the same scenes. BBtS was my least favorite of the bunch; this new production was solidly good. Predictable, if you've seen all of the above, but good.
