The first was Osprey Elite #155: Roman Battle Tactics 109 BC - AD 313, which gives some solid information on the use of the legion.
Next was Osprey Campaign #138: Poitiers 1356: The Capture of a King, detailing the background and action leading up to and including the battle.
Finally, the last was Osprey New Vanguard #142: Tudor Warships (1): Henry VIII's Navy which gives a clearer picture what those vessels were like.
Not bad, all.
I've also read several comics lately. One, I had missed the previous couple of weeks, and found it to catch up. The three were: Fables #72 - I'm not sure where they're going with this storyline exactly, which is nice; Tales from Wonderland: Queen of Hearts - a little more interesting than others of this series; and then the piece de resistance, Jim Butcher's Dresden Files #1 - this one really seems to do the subject proud. It's much better than the TV series from SciFi, though not quite as good as the novels. I like what they're doing with the book. More, please.
