While resting last evening, I finished a book that's been on my shelf for a long time, this one being Fantastic Alice, a short story collection written by a number of fantasy authors based on the Lewis Carroll works. Some of the items were good, most fair.

Also, over the last couple of weeks, I've read several comics:
Black Summer #6 - I still find I enjoy where Ellis is going with this enough to follow it.
Jack of Fables #22 - so-so.
The Oz/Wonderland Chronicles: Jack & Cat Special - another one that looks like it's going in interesting directions.
Crossing Midnight #18 - I'm not sure how I feel about this one, this issue. Left me a little confused.
House of Mystery #1 - a return to an older Vertigo title, horror-related, set in a small part of the Sandman universe. I'm going to see where this goes for now.

I also found myself, over the last couple of weeks, wondering why I was still trying to read the third of many Laura Joh Rowland novels of the shogun's investigator in 1600s Japan. It just seemed too formulaic, and that was only in the third novel; I just couldn't slog any farther into it, let alone into the later books, so I set the lot aside. I move on, now, to other reading.

For the first time in months, I got a deep tissue massage last night, but the right shoulder area is griping up a major storm. Ouch! I don't think I'm going back to THAT therapist, henceforth...
