A couple nights back we took in two of the episodes of the latest arriving disc from Netflix of Battlestar Galactica, and enjoyed them.
Yesterday morning, I (was) volunteered to work at a free clinic for children signing up for the local football leagues. Between the five doctors participating, we saw 138 kids; I'm not exagerating when I say that I saw at least fifty of them, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'd seen sixty or more. It started rather earlier than I like to be out and about, but I was there on time, and did my duty. Nice kids, most, and there was one in particular who struck me as poised, confident and strong, and I suspect that he's a diamond in the rough for future football teams.
Home, I caught up online, and then participated in a home project, this one being the (gasp) organizing of our pantry, something that's been attempted but not successfully on two other occasions in the last fifteen years. It all worked out nicely. There's now four sliding racks, so stuff won't get lost in the mishmash in the back. The spices on the rack have been alphabetized, more or less, and we've identified which are superfluous. Much future cooking can now be planned out properly. Huzzah!
Exhausted after it all, we didn't rise from the couch, and therefore didn't finish watching BG from the disc. *Snarly, growly, grumpish, grr.*
My associate is showing the local area to a prospect who may join our group today, and so I will have to make rounds at the hospitals soon. It'll be nice for our balance of payments, though, so, no problem. When home, I intend to curl up with the new Naomi Novik novel, grabbed from the library a couple of days ago. More on that anon, when I've finished.
Can't seem to get my typical browser functioning on the desktop; I might need to spend a couple of hours fussing over the computer. Thus, I'm using IE. Ick. *Sigh*.
