OK, so here I was sitting at my desk in the office in Rancho Cucamonga. The building was completed in December 2007, and we occupied it less than a week later, and it's built to the most up-to-date earthquake standards. We're maybe sixteen miles, may twelve miles from the epicenter (I'm being too lazy to check it out with Google Earth. Don't like it? So sue me.), and being that we're not all that far from the San Andreas Fault, I didn't know how bad it was going to get. We rolled and rolled and rolled; maybe ten or fifteen seconds. Nothing fell down, nothing broke that we're aware of.

forestcats wasn't in the house; she was driving in the truck. Apparently, all morning long, brushette refused to leave her lap; this isn't normal behavior for this beagle. My spouse returned to the house to find that the beagle wouldn't leave our room. Two framed items fell from the wall, and their glass broke. Both should be salvageable.

No casualties reported thus far...
