Yesterday, I finished the book Fire by Sebastian Junger, a series of essays that he made as a journalist, the first two of which dealt with wildfires in the Western United States, which seemed pretty topical at the time I was reading them. The essays also included things like the war in Kosovo, or the advent of the Taliban in Afghanistan. It was a solid read. The author later went on to write The Perfect Storm, which was later made into the movie.
