We returned home yesterday, the drive made more interesting by stopping in Silverlake in the desert west of Victorville to visit Kevin at his home on the lake. In the desert. The High Desert. Not all that far from Death Valley. In the desert. With a lake. With water even. Wow.

Wednesday night we were delighted to watch a film from 1934 via Netflix called The Thin Man which was a cute, sassy detective story. There were several sequels over the next nearly two decades, so I'm going after them.
