Not a good day for the books, I'm afraid. First of all, I got a book out of the library, not so much for reading, as to look at the photographs. It was called Stones of Empire: Buildings of the Raj by Jan Morris. It covers the buildings that the British built during their tenure in India. Most interesting was the photo of the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, being that it was central to the recent terrorist attack.

Then, I tried and tried to read the last novel published posthumously from George MacDonald Fraser. However, it emulates his previous book, Pyrates, which, up to now, was the book of his that I least enjoyed. Now, I abandoned reading The Reavers. It's got too many anachronisms (intentionally), and tries too hard to be funny. I wish he'd had a final Flashman book, instead, but it was not to be. *Sigh*.

Last night, on the Wii Fit, I did mostly aerobic exercises, in an attempt to break the weight stalemate, as I've been the same weight, more or less, for several days. I'll be getting on the gear in a few minutes, and we'll see how that worked out.
