Yesterday was a day for catching up, and getting a bit of rest; I feel better for it. Among other things, I watched a Netflix DVD documentary called Gonzo: The Life and Times of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, which seemed to be a pretty solid item, including talks with Jimmy Carter, George McGovern and many more. I also finished a comic book called Haunted Tank #1, a Vertigo title, that I won't be continuing. Haunted Tank, IIRC, has run repeatedly during US military endeavors; it's about the ghost of Jeb Stuart, of Civil War fame, who comes to the aid of his descendants in each period, when they fight in what amounts to today's cavalry. The Vertigo title's claim to fame is that this time the descendant is black, and it introduces pretty predictable complications.

I also skimmed, but didn't read a book called Tornado Alley: Monster Storms of the Great Plains. forestcats and I have been watching a TV series (was it on Discover Channel? I can't recall) called Stormchasers which has been pretty scary to see, and one of the team members actually had his photo in the book, over a decade younger. Amusing, but the book was just too technical for my interest, and so after a quick perusal, back to the library it goes.
