I managed to get done with work just in time to beat jamiethered to the cookie exchange. For one reason or another, this time we had a small, more intimate party; not twenty or more people, struggling around the table, but some half dozen or so folks. Those ill had chosen not to expose others, which was a kindness. Those who'd partied heartily the previous evening were sleeping it off, understandable.

Once the cookies were swapped, I should macapunohead how to play a certain section of Wii Sports; later, his spouse was finally introduced to Wii Fit, where she found herself interested in working with the Balance section. Good for her!

Once mazal_ had left for the High Desert, we settled in to watch Rome season one disc two; great stuff. I like the way that they mirror what's happening in the great houses by showing the homelife of the centurion. Very nicely done.

Finally, yesterday, I finished reading that new J. K. Rowling book(let), The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Interesting sidelight, but not really anything spectacular.
