I can now confirm that I prefer LiveJournal over Facebook, games aside, because on LJ, if I want to get chatty, and write something a bit longer, I can do so without the system freaking out, but on Facebook, you get too long, and it's truncated.

Phooey on that.

Facebook is a toy.

LiveJournal is a tool. Variably capable, but a tool, nonetheless.
