I'm pleased to say that we were able to join in the joy at our friends' (Teresa and Derek) daughter's (Aubrey) wedding at a little park/historical monument in Placentia, this afternoon. Teresa catered it, and she served up some very nice dishes. Her baked beans, for example, are terrific.

We were forced to leave early due to a phone call from forestcats brother, who called about her mother having a turn for the worse, but by the time we got home, the crisis had passed, and she was more comfortable. Home, we did a few necessary things, like emptying the corral for the arrival of a number of bales of hay for the equines. I also pulled up the last of the carpet's undermat in the front bedroom, and vacuumed the wooden flooring. New carpets tomorrow.

I'm going to embarass myself, tomorrow, at services, as I haven't memorized my chanting of the Haftorah for this date. I just never found enough time to do that; I should have set aside other things, but I felt too stressed (proof: my regained weight...) to sit and study. Oh, well, so I won't chant, but I will read, and if they don't like it, they can tell me so.

So there...I guess.
