Finished another library book a little while ago, The River of Lost Footsteps: Histories of Burma by Thant Myint-U, the grandson of U Thant, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations. He writes well about Burma's past, scattering in it his own family's history. It adds a distinct flavor that other historical tracts often don't have. He comes to an interesting conclusion about the Free World's sanctions on the military regime now in charge of the country. Worth reading.
